You may recall the EBRAG Committee sent you an email last year requesting your continued support by objecting to the draft Wiltshire Housing Site Allocation Plan, which proposed to increase the Wiltshire new housing targets until 2026. This will include Warminster, by locally changing the settlement boundaries in the East to including Home Farm and Spurt Mead and nominating both as potential development sites. Developers will therefore be able to submit planning applications with less planning policy restriction. Wiltshire further proposed Home Farm could accommodate 100 houses adjacent to the Dene, with access from Boreham Rd.
You may not be aware that the speculative Home Farm planning application (16/10502/OUT) submitted in November 2016 by Hallam, is still under review by Wiltshire and the decision has yet again been delayed until December 2018. This is in order that the second independent consultation on the proposed draft Wiltshire Council Housing Site Allocation Plan can be yet again reviewed by a Planning Inspector.
The EBRAG committee were invited to comment on Wiltshire Councils suggested changes to their original proposals, within the Site Allocation Plan, following the initial review by a Planning Inspector. On behalf of the local community, EBRAG have submitted their continued concerns over these proposed changes. It is further hoped that the EBRAG Committee members can address the reviewing Planning Inspector at a Public Hearing later this year. We will inform you of the public review dates once known.
